Summer Report

It’s been a while. This summer’s been packed with unexpected events in my personal life, which at times have made it more difficult to write. I’ve managed, just haven’t been as prolific.

A week ago I wrote a short story and submitted it to a couple of short-story publishers.

I wrote the musical score (melodies only) for my musical.

I read a few novels, and listened to several writing podcasts.

My trilogy work has stalled. It’s getting messy, and I have to work some things out. That’s the curse of discovery writing.

I’m mostly keeping up with my Twitter fiction, though I have missed days here and there.

My kids start school next week, so this week I’m trying to focus more on them and helping them make the most of the rest of their summer vacation. I won’t be going back to my job working at the school this year, so that’ll give me several hours each day to devote to my many neglected chores and projects, writing being only one of them.

Life’s good.
